ENROLING AT PASS
A Kāinga/Student/Principal interview is essential upon enrolment. After all necessary process are completed upon enrolment a Personalised Education Plan (PEP) is developed, then signed by the Student, Parents/Caregivers, and Principals.
Pacific Advance Secondary School will consider all students who wish to enrol, regardless of background or academic ability. Our enrolment policy and process is in accordance with the Education Act 1989.
ENROLMENT POLICY
BALLOT PROCESS
If there are more applicants than there are places available, we will conduct a ballot in accordance with the Education Act 1989. If two or more siblings apply for places at the school at the same time, the applications of those siblings are dealt with as a single application for the purposes of the ballot.
Notification will be sent out to all parents/fanau who will be affected by the ballot process. Notification of the ballot results will be made in writing and fanau advised at the earliest opportunity.
PASS will maintain a waiting list and fanau who were unsuccessful with the ballot will be invited to be included on the waiting list. The waiting list will be regularly reviewed and fanau advised if a place becomes available for their child.
ENROLMENT REQUIREMENTS
To enrol you will need to complete the enrolment form below, return it to the office along with the following.
Failure to bring all of this evidence in upon enrolment will delay your interview.
If your child has a social worker or is involved with any family support workers e.g Oranga Tamariki, Genesis youth trust, Strive etc. a representative from the support group will need to be present at the appointed interview along with parent/caregiver and student.
